Regis was a recurring character in Eden Rising, a Public Relations Manager for the biodome Eden. He was stationed at the Tulsa International Airport, introducing new recruits to what they were in store for. He was shown to be quite unsatisfied with his job. A running gag was everyone always thinking Regis was a homosexual for his flamboyant behavior, only to be revealed that he had a wife and daughter.
Regis worked as a PR manager at the in-construction hotel that later became Eden. He remained part of its staff in the transition from hotel to bio-dome, being one of Eden's earliest residents. He had a wife and a daughter.
Regis introduces Tom Snyder and his group to the idea of Eden by passing out pamphlets and their food and beverage vouchers for their eventual arrival in Eden. When their trip is delayed by an internal civil war, Regis is shown to be simultaneously annoyed by the conflict leading to him being stationed at the airport for any longer, and excited by the idea of some excitement.
Regis was shown to be very passive after the conflicts occurred, and never one to help out around the airport. This annoyed many of the group to no end, though he used the excuse that when rescue arrives to bring them to Eden, he can pick and choose who he can bring along so they might as well stay on his good side. He starts to help out later after causing an angry Gwen to beat him to a pulp. Soon after this, however, Phoebe is killed and reanimates. When Rory grabs Regis by the arm to bring him into a room for safety, Phoebe starts to bite, claw and attack on his lower extremities, leading to a violent tug of war. In the end, Regis is torn in two and killed. His reanimated corpse is later put down and he is buried.
Regis appears via flashback in season 3.
Regis appears via hallucination in season 4.
- Regis's ambiguous sexual orientation is a recurring gag and source of comic relief throughout the second season. His actions as a stereotypical flamboyant make this a hot topic of debate among the survivors.
- It was later revealed posthumously, in the flashback episode "Jiang Shi", that Regis had a wife and a daughter.
