Lee was born in England to a happy family. He was well-raised and was in the top of his class. When he was 23, he met a drug dealer named Lee Everett. The two became close with Everett keeping out Dixon in drug deals and such. But, when Dixon's mother fell ill when she moved to North Carolina, he was an accomplice to a bank robbery with Everett to get the money for a plane ticket and to pay for her medication. He moved to North Carolina to help her. His mother died, but he loved Lincolnton so much, he didn't want to leave. He and Everett remained close friends and Dixon became a high school teacher.
When the apocalypse came, Dixon escaped the school while everyone was in a panic. He made over to Lee Everett's appartment and the two boarded up the rooms. Their neighbor, Anthony Charles requested for them to let him in, and they did. After 4 weeks of staying in the appartment, the three went to a convience store for supplies. They met a girl named Isabella and a guy named Tyrell in there, and they took them to their group. He is first seen when Jeremiah comes back with Sully and Brenda. He tries to help in stopping Sully's bleeding.
