- "I’m not going to fight it. I’ve done some terrible things to keep myself here, I thought I could save you, and I failed. You really think you could take me out here and I wouldn’t know what you were planning to do? I give up. It’s over. You’re a lost cause. You’ve decided who you are, Leigh, and you truly are your father’s daughter."
- —Mr. White's last words
Mr. White is a minor character featured in Eden Rising. When he is first introduced, this enigmatic man is presented as an arms dealer trading weapons to The General in exchange for supplies for his group, the Il Alichino, an extremist bio-terrorist cell. Turns out, Mr. White was actually a CIA spy in deep cover.
History[]
Pre-series[]
Mr. White lived among the Il Alichino. He introduced himself to Leigh, the brainwashing victim to her father's extremist ways, as a CIA agent who was stationed to keep an eye on Weiss's activity before the outbreak took place. He stated that he has all the evidence he needs to take down her father, though he told Leigh he needed her help first. She agreed to it, wanting to get herself back to normal.
Season 1[]
Mr. White visits The General, offering weapons - and even a helicopter - for the tyrant's upcoming assault on Glenley, in exchange for supplies for his group.
Although these events take place during the timeframe of season 1, they were presented in flashbacks during the season 2 episode "Wedding". Mr. White continued growing concerned for Leigh's safety and tried getting her to snap out of it, but the brainwashing continued having a negative effect on her.
Leigh and Mr. White traveled to a refinery away from base camp, and Mr. White diverged in conversation with her. However, it was apparent to him what she came out here to do; she succumbed to the brainwashing and her father was onto Mr. White, and she took him out here to kill him. As Mr. White admitted to Leigh that he knew of her plan and was ready to accept his death, basically telling Leigh she is now just as evil as her father, Leigh snapped his neck and dumped his body in the river.
Trivia[]
- Mr. White initially held the record for the longest gap of any Eden Rising character between appearances. He first appeared in the second episode of season 1, and did not appear again until the eighth episode of season 2... sixteen episodes later.
- Jessie surpassed him, with eighteen episodes between her death episode and her reappearance in a dream in "Halcyon".
- Later, they were both surpassed by Lori Kitka in her reappearance via flashback in "The False Knight and the God-Why-Don't-You-Love-Me Blues", twenty-eight episodes after her death.
