Signs of Life[]
Malcolm: This is where I last saw them
Chance: They can’t be far. How log ago was it?
Malcolm: Two days ago. They probably went north towards Cincinnati. We had a plan before I left them
Savannah: They couldn’t have gotten far. Cincinnati is about 179 Miles not using the highway and 149 miles using KY-9. I guarantee they wanted to go without using the highway
Malcolm: That does sound like Lam. Everyone in his group died right in front of him
Chance: They went northwest. I don’t know why, you should get to the coast. We should stop them before they do anything rash
Malcolm: You want to join my group?
Savannah: Of course
They travel for hours going northwest on KY-9. Running from zombies, they settle down for the night in an abandoned car. Chance watches the road for any straggling biters, but can’t help, and succumbs to sleep.

A lone man puts a gun to Chance’s head
Unknown Man: Give me your supplies right now. Before you lose your god damn head
Chance: I see one of you. You can’t over power me
The man looks to his left, than his right, and two men came out holding a baseball bat and a crowbar
Unknown Leader: Tom, take the man. I’ll take his supplies
Tom: Sure thing, Scott
Scott: Don't test me, I have killed two people this month with this gun
Chance can’t hold him back and he surrenders to the big, strong man
Scott: Hal, make sure there is no one else in the cars
Hal slowly walks to the cars, crowbar ready to strike, and checks the windows
Hal: There is nobody in the car. He’s all-alone
AUUGGHH
Suddenly Malcolm comes from behind the car in front them holding a machete and swings at Hal. He hits him square in the head. Tom grabs his gun and shoots Malcolm in the shoulder. Savannah comes out from behind the car and stabs Tom in the neck. She then tosses Chance his gun
Chance: Do you want to end up like your friends here?
Scott: N…No
Chance: Then I suggest you leave… NOW!
Scott runs off into the nearby forest. They wait till they are sure he is gone, which isn’t long. The group hear a yell
"AAUUGGHH!"
Then silence
Chance: Grab everything and let’s go, we can inspect your wound later
Malcolm: I see a fire! About a mile northwest
Chance: Fuck, we gotta run, forest fires could happen
They run towards the fire to see where it came from. When they get there, Malcolm can’t believe what he sees
Malcolm: Shit
Miya: Malcolm, help. Susie had a heart attack
Savannah: I can help
Kylie: Malcolm, Who is this?
Savannah: I am a nurse
Malcolm: I can trust her
Savannah: Does she take any medication?
Kelly: We lost it a while ago. I thought it was ok
Savannah: She stopped breathing
Jack: Well give her CPR
Savannah tries CPR three times, to no avail
Savannah: She’s gone
No one says a word
Lam: We’ll bury her in the morning.
People start to leave and get some more sleep
Johnno: Come on Sir, we gotta go
Jack: I can’t leave her. We have been married for fifty years. I can’t l…
Susie opens her eyes and begins to get up and lurk towards Jack and grabs him
AAUUGGHH!
Kelly: Grandpa
People run towards Jack to attempt to help him out
Jack: No don’t hurt her. Maybe we can help her out, so that it she won’t be dead
BLAM!
Jack looks into his wife’s eyes, to see a hole in the left one. He looks over to his left and sees his only grandson holding a gun and crying. After a few seconds all he sees is his own tears. He doesn’t want to look like a baby to his family and group, but the tears just flow
